Future Folks is a community-driven platform that wanted their landing page to feel alive and welcoming. We created a world populated with custom 3D characters built in Spline — each character reacts to scroll position, cursor movement, and viewport changes, creating a playful narrative that draws users deeper into the platform's story.
Bringing Characters to Life on the Web
The client had a roster of illustrated brand characters that needed to come alive in 3D while maintaining their original charm and personality. The characters needed to feel interactive and responsive — not just static 3D renders dropped onto a page — while keeping the overall page weight manageable.
Scroll-Reactive Spline Characters
Each character was rebuilt as an optimized Spline 3D scene with custom interaction states tied to scroll position and cursor proximity. The landing page uses a chapter-based scroll narrative where different characters animate in and out, guiding the user through the platform's value proposition in an engaging, story-driven format.
